Dental Crown
treatment

Did you know delaying a root canal or an implant may end up costing you more money and multiple visits to the dentist? Whatever you do don't avoid it.

Why You Shouldn't Wait on Crowns

A delay in getting a crown can lead to further damage and require more extensive - and expensive - treatment later on. There are several reasons why your dentist may diagnose a crown:

  • Restore broken, cracked, and decayed teeth.
  • Protect a tooth or filling.
  • Cover a dental implant.
  • Hold a dental bridge in place.
  • Cover a misshapen or severely discolored tooth.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

During this procedure, our expert dental team will first prepare your tooth by removing any decay and shaping it to accommodate the crown. Next, we’ll take impressions of your tooth to ensure a perfect fit for your custom-made crown. Instead of traditional impressions, a digital scan of your tooth is taken. This scan creates a 3D model of your tooth. Using advanced CAD/CAM technology, your dentist will digitally design the crown. Finally, once your permanent crown is ready, we’ll carefully bond it to your tooth.

Before an out of country trip, I lost a crown on a Friday afternoon and was very concerned about finding a dentist that could help me. Luckily Bown Crossing Dentistry, a state of the art new business, was open and even stayed late to X-ray, make a replacement crown, and fix this last minute before my trip. Professional, personal service from the staff and dentist. I highly recommend them and will be using their services in the future!
